Federal Grants and tax breaks?

Are there any kinds of tax breaks or federal grant programs that other U.S. hostels have taken advantage of? If so, would you be willing to assist me in helping to acquire such funding avenues? The help would be much appreciated, and even if you cannot help I would love to start talking and getting to know other hostels that are in the ten states that the Mississippi River runs through. My hostel is in Mississippi, so I am looking for other hostels in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, Illinois, Missouri, Kentucky, Tennessee, Arkansas, Mississippi, and Louisiana. I figure we could help each other by recommending each others hostels to our travelers.
