Love? :D
Something that their grandparents may associate with love? More likely.
That said, I know of a great deal of very successful relationships born from hostel encounters - Plakias was always very proud (and insisted on mentioning at check-in) of the fact that his hostel had produced 14 marriages. No mention of divorces of course :P
I think most of us have met someone special whilst traveling - and I firmly believe that point 7 of the article is the reason why. Back in the real world however, the inverse of point 7 plays a role and things dont often work out. Without wanting to mention the specifics of my own sexual proclivities, point 4 isn't relevant.
Life long friends are made whilst on the road, why not life long love affairs? But does anyone engage in a nomadic lifestyle in the hope of finding something permanent, be it friendship or romance? I think a lot of people may travel with the hope of having a foreign/summer romance/fling but I doubt too many are looking for luuuurve. But hey, has anyone that was looking for love ever found it? Or is it something they simply stumbled upon in unlikely circumstances? Just like your keys or glasses, always in the last place you look.
   (finally a chance to use that smiley!)
