we just opened the first hostel on Curacao: www.ritz-lodge.com
And guess what: Since the opening 8 weeks ago we already had 80 travelers staying with us!
Suddenly Curacao is on the map of travelers and they include the Island in their trip.
Thanks for staying with us!
The Ritz Lodge is an immediate success. We will welcome guest nr. 100 in less than 8 weeks!
Our research shows that many guests are real travelers on their way to South America or coming back from SA after substantial travels of many months.
Interesting thing is that in some cases Curacao was not on their travel plan because it did not have a Hostel!
Note: There are some apartments that offer themselves as 'Hostel' but it is not possible to book a single bed.
You will need to book a room (double the price) or the whole apartment.
When we asked our guests about their choice to come to Curacao, they checked various Islands and now with the ability to book a real hostel bed they decided to come to The Ritz. Isn't that great?
By some Curacao still had the label 'expensive', but we soon showed them that since Curacao has around 2000 (Dutch) interns staying on the Island at all times, there are plenty of cheap eat-cafes where you can have a meal for $6.75 and a beer at happy hour prices for $1.7. (walking distance from The Ritz)
So yes: Curacao can now be put on anyone's travel plan.
Hope to see you soon at The Ritz Brian!
It’s like the movie Field of Dreams. “If you build it, they will come!”
If your guests are already traveling in or out of South America when they visit you, then they can encourage other travelers they meet to visit Curacao as well. You’ll have some really good word of mouth marketing very quickly, and then business should take off even more.
You may have done it already, but you might want to invite the staff from any near-by hostel to come and stay with you for free. If they like your place then they can direct even more travelers your way.
Today The Ritz Lodge welcomed the 100th guest in the Lodge.
being open for just 8 weeks that is a remarkable success!
Mr. Marc van Gool (Holland) received a bottle of wine to celebrate.
Marc in traveling in the Caribbean and stay a week in the Lodge.
