It looks like this is true and reports coming in from other countries getting the same increase to 15 %
It seems that it is specific to the type of accommodation e.g. hotels/b and bs and apartments.
As hostels we might feel as we dont want them listed that this is good to take higher percentage from other accommodations.
The problem is the following will probably happen.
Some time from now Hostelworld will advise us we need all properties on the same commission so we are also upping Hostelworld to 15 %.
Hotels and other accommodation will try to get listed as hostels to have the 12 % rate.
