Free wifi, oh you won’t believe how slow island internet can be…
There is no additional parking on the road in front of the hostel or in neighbors driveways. Let us know if you’re not sure what to do or where to park. Better yet, save time and money and don’t bring a car!!!

Agreed! Would love to stay in your hostel. It looks like you're not listed on hostelworld, am I right? Are you planning on relying on just reservations through your site? Is that working for you? And is there anything else you're doing to beef up your promotion so guests can find you? I'm wondering because when we open we'd like to skip hostelworld all together if we can, but I've been warned by some hostel managers that that would be suicide.
What are your thoughts? And good luck!!

Hi Alice,
For the time being we are avoiding booking through anywhere but our own site. We live in a very small community and have great support where we live, and believe that we are offering a unique experience for travelers. Word of mouth, some Facebook marketing, google adwords, and meeting other hostel owners/managers in larger cities nearby is all we are going to try this year. We strongly believe that our hostel speaks for itself, and that we don't need hostel world/bookers to promote us. Let me know if you have any other thoughts or questions....Ken
