Home stay with a Tibetan family

Nomad guesthouse is located in Xidang village, Meili Snow Mountains nature preserve in Yunnan, China. The village is located in Mekong river valley near Tibet and Burma borders. The altitude in the village is 2400 m but the highest peak behind us rises to 6 740 m. The peaks are holy for the Tibetans so they are unclimbed.

We have four guest rooms. The conditions are still very basic as we are improving the facilities as we get more money. I am from Finland and my family are local Tibetans (mother, father, grandfather, -mother and two brothers). We also have mules, yaks, pigs, chicken, cats and a dog.
