OK. I initially thought that one room had bedbugs and I dealt with it accordingly, ie: fumed the room, sprayed all the beds, mattresses, walls, floor, cupboards and powdered all crevices, power points etc. and so forth.
The room in question has only one affected bed, like bedbugs the person has multiple bites but they look much smaller than you'd expect. It has only happened in the last couple of days and the person has been in that bed for about three weeks.
I have done the usual checks; the mattress seams show up nothing, the bed linen is white and I can see no blood smears and I can find no dead or living bedbugs.
Obviously I have relocated all the occupants.
The treatment covers flying and crawling insects including fleas, so that rules that option out.
It's all very odd. I've run this place for six years and never seen anything like it and things just don't add up.
Only one bed effected, the person in question has only had the bites in the last day or two. The bed linen is cotton and has all been replaced so bot going to be an allergy.
Has anyone seen anything like this before?
