The German Hostels are asking the hostels to add the commissions on top of the prices on all the OTA's. Many hostels are doing so already, we really appreciate that developement. We believe thats the right way to gain more independence for the hostels.
We would like to push that further. We developed a logo, so hostels can tell on their own website or also other commission free websites, that it will be cheaper for the guest to book there then on any other website in the internet:
