Hi this is Laura,
owner of Alberguinn Hostel in Barcelona.
We opened this small hostel in 2005 and are very happy with the business and the customers that we are receiving.
But, this 2010 has started quite worse than the previous january and we are selling now cheaper than when we started in 2005.
I would like to ask wether everybody is having the same trouble so I can feel a bit better :)

I believe US travellers are not travelling to Europe in the low season, they all come from May, at least to Barcelona. BUT there are a LOT of US travellers on exchange programs in different cities of Europe and travelling during that time to the rest of the cities in Europe, and for sure they care about the prices, a lot!.
At the same time, I 'm not able to offer prices at less than 10€, how do you make it?????? Specials? breakfast not included? taxes not included? I hate hidden costs...
