Hostel in East London (Start up - early stages)
Hi all,
I would really like to start a hostel in East London; I'm confident enough but I feel like doing this together with someone like-minded would be a lot easier (more ideas, more energy, more dynamic, etc.)
(1) A good idea I think is to find an appropriate property in E1 (Spitalfields, Bethnal Green, Shoreditch) and target short stay, international tourist groups, being close to transport links to Stansted via Liverpool St.
(2) Alternatively I know of warehouses in Hackney Wick on the canal that are already converted to HMO's and would be further away from the best transport connections (Stratford..), but the warehouse aspect of it would no doubt attract visitors, although customers would more likely be people moving to London or individuals in between flats.
Ideal build up would be 5 en-suite rooms to 4 people (2 bunks) = 20 person occupancy with a kitchen and a reception area, but happy to adjust and scale up depending.
About me: I'm 28, half English/German, also speak French, Spanish to a good level, so I'd be good with foreigners. I'm generally quite affable and diplomatic and am good at creating generally pleasant atmospheres (ENFP). My weakness is with council regulations and use classes for property.
Please be in touch if you're interested or have something to say about this.
Thanks all :)
Damian
