Hostel Regulation from European Union

Hi!

I know i already asked about regulation specifically about Portugal, and i already found it. Since regulation in Portugal is not very clear about hostels i was wondering if the European Union has any regulation regarding hostels.

I know couple of people here in forum have hostels across Europe, if u know any specific or global regulation about hostels made by the European Union i would be thank full !!!

We run 4 hostels in Germany and Austria - if there was a EU regulation, that would be totally new to me.

About 6 months ago I spent about 4 hours in various EU web sites and found nothing of interest about hostels.
