They are offering 30 % commision on all bookings made through your IP address in your hostel.
Seems good to get a bit of extra revenue.

How does that work? Will they track the bookings from your IP address (from your in-house guests who book their next hostel on HB, I presume) and give you money? Or do you need to put up a HB affiliate booking engine somewhere and they’ll give you a commission from the bookings made through it?
Giving a commission sounds like it could be an effective way to convince the hostels to encourage their guests to book through HB.

When am I paid?
Every month; Payments are made by USD bank transfer directly into your bank account. Commission is paid once your balance reaches $200 USD and can be paid in local currency (converted at the XE.com rate on day of payment).

To set your terminal home page to HostelBookers.com, simple change the URL in your internet options to the one we provide you:
If you have your own home page, we suggest you add our search box using the URL provided. Hostels Alessandro have added our search box to each of their terminals home page.
Wi-Fi option is the simplest of them all. All you have to do is supply your IP address to HostelBookers and we can than identify bookings made via HostelBookers.com from anyone how is connected to your Wi-Fi and award you with the commission. What is my IP address: www.whatismyip.com
All these options enable us to identify the bookings from your terminals or WI-Fi and calculate the commission you have earned.

Hello Guys,
They sent me a message about this a few days ago too.
It is a nice way of earning some extra income for your hostel.
I wonder if advertising HB in your Hostel would mean, for other Hostels in nearby cities, less direct bookings?
I think the WiFi option sounds the least intrusive of all.

In Chile the Internet providers give us variable IP's, which means every 30 minutes we get a new IP. Any idea of how we could take this oportunity given this constrain?
