Hostelbookers celebrates its 5th birthday: summer beds for 5 pence

[INDENT]To celebrate its fifth birthday, HostelBookers is running a special offer – beach hostel beds in five popular European destinations will cost just 5p a night.

The 5p beds can be booked from 1 to 5 June, with 50 beds going on sale every day during this week at 2pm GMT. There are no hidden costs or strings attached – travellers really will pay just 5p a night.

This summer holiday deal will be available on a total of 250 beds at popular hostels in Barcelona, Valencia, Corfu, Alghero (Sardinia) and Santorini, for travel between from 6 and 10 July 2009.

From the bustling city beaches of Barcelona and Valencia to the glitzy resort of Alghero, the discos of Corfu and laid-back Santorini, HostelBookers is offering customers the chance to book their perfect summer break for a fraction of the normal price.

The five beach hostels participating in the birthday offer are Centric Point in Barcelona, Purple Nest in Valencia, Sunrock Backpackers Hostel in Corfu, Hostel D'Alguer in Alghero and Santorini Hostel in Santorini. All the hostels are well-equipped and offer a fantastic base for enjoying each of these five Mediterranean destinations.
