HostelWorld / Bookers Synchronisation Software?

Hello all,
I used to lurk these forums a lot when I was working in a hostel this past summer, but this is the first time I've had anything meaningful to say!

My main question, is what options are currently available for automatically synchronising availability of beds between Hostel World and Hostel Bookers?

I've been meaning to write some software for a long time to do this (mostly because I had to spend about an hour a day doing it manually in the peak season), and have only had time in the past couple of weeks - So far, all my tests have been successful - I've been able to automatically log in, check for new bookings, download and modify availability, and a few other basic things - I really just want to know if its worth my time to turn this into an application that can be used in a live environment, or if its already been done.

As a side note, if anyone has any requests for if I do decide to push forward with development (XML output of bookings, other booking engines, etc.), or wants to see a demo when its done, reply to this thread:)

Also, does anyone have any idea how many hostels use backpack online vs. inbox??
