I'm opening a new hostel in a neighboring island and forgot to turn off the "accept paypal" thing on the HW intranet.
I just got a reservation that paid their 15% HW deposit with paypal, but i'm not too sure how it works when it comes to paying me the rest of the money or me charging a no-show.
Can anyone enlighten me, does anyone know how it works and what the best practices for this would be.

The PayPal option is just for processing HW’s commission on the booking. You can collect the remaining balance as normal when the guests arrive at the hostel.
As I understand it, you cannot charge No Show guests if they booked through PayPal. If anyone who does accept bookings through PayPal has a different experience, please let us know.

Hostelworld seems to have an arrangement for a guest to pay the rest of the room charge through YOUR OWN paypal account but the implementation is quite unclear.
my buddy said that she can arrange guests to make a full payment after they book the hostel during the "peak" season. And if they don't, we can cancel the booking.
