Hello guys.
I'm about to open my hostel, probably in late February and I read somewhere that hostelworld takes 30 to 40 days to include a new hostel.
My question is: Should I register my hostel right now at hostelworld or should I wait until it is opened?

I would go ahead and register now. You do not have to have beds for sale from the moment you register. You can get everything set up in advance (property description, photos, etc.) and then add your availability later when you know what your opening date will be.

What abou description and photos. Is it possible to change it in the future??

Absolutely! You have control over your property description, directions to your hostel, photos, videos, etc. Change them whenever you need to so that your guests have the most accurate and up to date information about your hostel.

Yes the sooner the better. Find out who your Hostelworld "Buddy" will be then get to know them. Ask about their booking engine as you can include it on youe website and you may want to check out their backoffice solution it's called Backpack Online. It's a free way to allocate rooms and hostelworld bookings go into your allocation automatically you just have to assign the room/bed.

If you want to go for you have to start earlier . . . keeping that in mind you better registered it now .
