Thanks for the lead but it's pretty poor in my opinion. A search of Crete turns up 42 hotels but neither of the hostels!

Scott Ryan has come a long way since growing up at Manyana on the South Coast.
The former University of Wollongong student is attracting global attention after launching a new meta search engine of the 40,000 hostels listed on the world’s four major hostel booking sites Hostelworld, Hostelbookers, Hostelsclub and GoMio.
Hostelzoo.com is already regarded as the world’s largest independent hostel comparison website.

I sent them a complaint and didn't really expect an answer. I'm now very impressed.

I've just checked the City list in Greece and it's a mess! Hostelworld, Hostelbookers and Hostelsclub all list the Island of Crete differently, which is causing the aggregated results to duplicate.
We'll have to do a fair bit of dev work to merge all the listings from all the sources but hopefully we can have that fixed in a day or so.

Glad to hear they are working on it. It looks like a promising site. I was disappointed when tfthostels.com stopped being active.
