How to Get Credit for Referring Members to HostelManagement.com

I've added a new feature where forum users can get credit for referring new users. In the future there will be some benefits for referring new users.

The number of users referred will show on your user profile page like this:

How to Get Referral Credits

There are a few ways to get referrers counted.

Type in Referrer at Signup Method:

If a new user types your username into the forum registration form, you will get credit for their signup. If they start typing a few letters of your username, the site will suggest usernames (to help make sure the spelling is correct).

Email This Page Method:

Another method is to go to any forum thread and click "thread tools":

Then click "Email this page":

That email will contain a URL that looks something like this:
http://www.hostelmanagement.com/forum/showthread.php?t=831&referrerid=1

The part on the end (referrerid=1) is a "referrer ID" that will record you as the referrer if the user then registers for the forums. The number is your User ID number. The number is different for each user so you'll have to click on those links to find out your own user ID number.

Direct Link Method:

Another method for having your referrals counted is to send people a link to hostelmanagement.com/forum/ that has ?referrer=x appended to it, where "x" is your user ID number (see above), it will record you as the referrer.

For example, my user ID is 1 so to refer someone to the forums, I would send them this link:
http://www.hostelmanagement.com/forum/?referrerid=1

You can find your user ID number by using the first method ("Email this page") and the number on the end of the URL is your user ID number. (My user ID is 1)
