That was the one. The airlift made America really popular back then (mind you, they were enemies until 3 years before and bombed our cities).
Welcome back, BTW! I already missed you here. How was your holiday?
Stockholm's jumbo jet hostel put up for sale

The world's first jumbo jet hostel at Stockholm Arlanda Airport has been put up for sale just seven months after its opening under the attendant gaze of the world's media....
"Whether we sell it, bring in a partner or develop some sort of franchise arrangement, they are all possibilities," Diös said, while declining to put a price on any of the alternatives.
Diös told The Local that there are several interested parties both for the Arlanda hostel, and also for prospective venues for further jumbo jet hostels.

Yeah, long time no see... :)
About the holiday... Well, man plans, woman decides. :D
I almost booked the flights to Portugal when my other half changed her mind (frequently, that's why I couldn't go to Italy), setting the destination to Croatia instead. We took a stopover at Balaton for a night, which due the nice weather just extended day by day, so we spent the entire time at the Balaton. :D
BTW, I have about a 1000 kunas saved in my wallet... should we spend it sometime?
How was YOUR holiday? I just have seen your photos, it's a pity that I couldn't go. I still owe some photos that I have to upload about the Balkan trip, shame on me I couldn't do that before. Let me find'em first...

Haha, great story! :D
Naples was nice. I didn´t do much - there was insane heat outside and the hostel had a/c... :)
It was a great place to stay though. Very quiet during the day when everybody was out on daytrips to Pompei or Capri, but very social in the evenings. The terrace was really good and there was a shop selling wine on ground floor - what else do you need?
We have to spend the Kunas. Preferably on booze! Is the plan for the Balkan Trip II still up?

Good, good... An Italian roadtrip would be certainly a future achievement for me...

Of course... The question is when? The early week of September would be a bit close and as I've read the posts not many people could come... How about sometime end of September? Wouldn't it be better for the others as well? I'm just thinking aloud... also I have to apply a new passport as I can't find the old one!
There are few things we MUST do on this trip though. This time we have to participate both Bata's and Haris' tours in Bosnia, also my croatian plan involved a visit to the Plitvice lakes... And there should be enough time to visit both Serbia and Montenegro!
Haha, we derailed the thread again! :D

Second half of September is a bit difficult ... Oktoberfest in Munich, I´ll have to be there for a few days.
One week won´t be a problem, but I won´t have much more.
But then... how about going to Switzerland for a week in early September? I want to talk with the HostelOffice dudes. We could also go to the Ice Caves in Salzburg and see the place where we crucified your Hungarian hero (don´t remember exactly what that story was all about...).

Indeed both the ice caves in Werfen, near Salzburg and Lamprechtsofen (the deepest cave in Europe and second deepest in the world) worth a visit and are on the way...
I told you, he wasn't crucified there... he was a daily one man show in the prison as the most outrageous bandit of the Monarchy. The castle is in Kufstein.
Sounds good... however, let's not kill the usual spontaneity with some planning! :D

I studied planning in university... sometimes I get carried away with it... sorry! :D
