As of now we're interested in renting our hostel for a year/two and leaving it in the hands of an enthusiastic, reliable owner that could enjoy living in Montanita, benefit from our business financially and hopefully, maintained our impecable reputation.

Our hostel is small and very cosy, with a true "feel like home" atmosphere. It has a total capacity of 15 people.

The advantage of our place is that we host mainly foreign guests which means that the season that for most of Montanita lasts for mere couple of months, for us lasts a whole year. Additionally, three times a year, on NYE, carnaval and Easter the prices in Montanita double or even triple and it's possible to make great income during these holidays.

The hostel is fully equipped (the kitchen is fully equipped too!) and freshly renovated with spotless facilities for the guests to enjoy. There is also a garden and plenty of papaya trees that give fruit practically all year long. Apart from the revenue based on the beds rental we also make additional profit serving optional breakfast, beer and charging for drinking water access. Additionally we help guests book tours in Ecuador and Galapagos and make commission money on it.
The best profit can be made on surfing classes (20$-25$ per class per person, one class is up to 3 people).
We'd be happy to pass all our contacts and connections to the new temporary owner. The new owner would also benefit from all our listings and great online presence and publicity.

By renting our hostel you will have 2 private rooms and 2 shared dorms for 4 and 7 people at your disposal. Additionally you will have a ensuite dorm for up to 5 people which you can live in, share it with the volunteers or rent out to the guests (if you decide to live outside of the property).

We sell our private rooms from 20$ up to 32$ (depending on the season) and the shared rooms are 8-11$ per bed. Prices normally double on Big hollidays like new years, easter, Carnaval, etc.
On days when our hostel is full we make around 150$ on the rooms and additionally (as I mentioned ) quite a bit of money on breakfast (3.5$ around 2$ gain), beer (1.50$ around 0.70$ gain)  and water access. As of the tours we make 5$ commission on every tour and class sold through the agencies and from 20 to 60$ per 2 hours surf class when we instruct ourselves  (you can find volunteers to do it if you don't know how to surf). The Galapagos tours bring us 20-40$ commission per person. The same applies to diving courses. We also offer on site Spanish classes and receive 1$ from each hour of the classes.

The monthly expenses (considering that you are renting a fully equipped hostel and there's no need for you to buy anything substantial) would be the basic bills which are:

35$ internet
10- 20$ water
30-50$ electricity
11$ tax (we paid for it for a year upfront for the whole of 2017 so no need to pay it in 2017)
3 $ gas (each bottle)
10$ toilet paper and cleaning products

The business rent price for one year is 16 000$ and is to be paid in the moment of signing the contract. We also require a deposit of 3,000$.

About the Property manager and Owner-
When human beings experience loneliness or severe stress, it is not uncommon for their lives to unravel. Our great passion is bringing happiness and a new adventure to people who have been through a loneliness & stressful experience. We help our Guests, who include children, adults, and families, to find a healthy way of themselves and strengthen their relationships so they can know themselves as peaceful, complete, whole and safe.

We know that no single approach is the right one for every individual, and so we have been trained in a range of modalities including Relation management, Yoga Therapy, Explorer anxiety and to be alone approaches to the world of happiness.

Our approach is to help malnourished children and has to work with an NGO where we educate underprivileged children and give them hope of empowerment who are struggling for their daily survival.
