The Members' Chat was formerly open to users who had made 50 posts.
There will be a new system soon, not based on the number of posts -- stay tuned for details. :)

For now, I think I am going to keep it at 50 posts, but only count longer posts. (One- or two-sentence short posts won't count towards the total because the purpose is to encourage people to share their tips and information.)
If anyone has suggestions for the system to make it better, please let me know.
Bocciardi, I think you already have access. Can you read the posts in the Members' Chat area?

Sounds sensible, though it will involve a fair bit of your own time in scanning and judging the posts.
But, to those newcomers who seem determined to reach the magic 50: you're not really missing much! The members' chat is not at present full of loads of meaty chat, there's much more in the main sections!
