RESIDENTS in the Grassmarket are objecting to plans to open a 200-bed backpackers' hostel.
The Art Roch hostel is set to open in West Port, near the Grassmarket, in February.Developers have already been granted permission for a 54-bed "apartment hotel" but have now decided to change it to a budget hostel and cafe.
But dozens of residents have objected, saying there are already several similar hostels in the area.
