New section: the Hostel Showcase
I'm building out the section on HostelManagement.com called the Hostel Showcase. It will feature interesting hostels from around the world.
For the launch of the new Hostel Showcase, I asked Plakian to write about his hostel because I've stayed there a few times and it's great:

Here are some stats from the page:
- regulars constitute over 60% of the turnover
- 6 marriages and 7 babies from people who met at the hostel
- hostel guest reunions this winter in London, Berlin, Dublin and Hamburg
- read more...
I can't remember how many times I've been there, but it must be at least a couple of months worth of visits between 2001 and 2004. It's a great hostel.

I read it and found it very interesting and nicely set out.
Hostels in the Greek Islands are so scarce that I would choose to visit Crete on my next trip just to stay in a welcoming place. The Greeks are indeed very welcoming, but solo travel in the Greek Islands can be a bit lonely when you have to stay in Pensions.

More hostels have opened on the islands in the past 5 years despite them being technically illegal. Paros and Naxos have some good new hostels.
But overall I do agree that there are far too few hostels in Greece.
