I just noticed that New York Times is coming up in Google searches for hostels, but they don't offer hostel bookings. Users are directed towards an Expedia hotel search.
Same issue as I mentioned on the thread about igougo.com, Sabre, Travelocity, and hostels and Hostelworld hotels -- large websites are increasingly going to dominate the Google search results for hostels and they are going to direct users towards hotel bookings.
Another example here (Sydney Central YHA).
