Starbucks prides itself on making any order you want. What they will charge you for it is a different matter.
I was reading an interesting article on Gadling about coffee rage:
Simmermon, a blogger from Brooklyn, walked into Murky Coffee, a coffee shop in Arlington, [Virginia] earlier this week and asked for his summertime drink of choice: a triple espresso over ice. The barista looked at him and said "I'm sorry, we can't serve iced espresso here. It's against our policy."
I think many coffee shops do that because customers know that an iced latte is $4.50, while a double espresso over ice is $2, and they can just add milk.
I think people are getting sick of $5 coffee because 600 Starbucks are closing in the USA. $5 of coffee per day multiplied by 365 days = $1825 coffee expense per year.
