I'm doing an assignment about 'how to run a youth hostel'. I'm not familiar at all with this business concept so i went to look for some helpful information about starting one and i was fortunate enough to come across this site here. I hope my following question would be answered :)
Well, here goes...
---Could anyone be so kind to give me a list of all the staff (fulltime/parttime) that an owner of a 500m2 hostel (who will not take part in managing it and whose purpose is to just provide capital) would need to hire to run such a business??
It would also be nice if you could tell me the requirements (personal/educational) that each of the staff member need to have. =]

Thank you so much for the invaluable sharing. I just joined this website recently.
I have been given opportunity to manage and perhaps co-share in running a hostel in Singapore. As I am completely new to this business, I am still trying to read up as much.
Clueless to how much rent I should pay for this 150 bedder hostel to be still profitable. If anyone has any tips or advice, please help.

I'm working to open an hostel in Italy. I've found an apartment of 500 s.m. but i can have only 25-30 beds, for the beginning. (because of the italian laws, after 25 beds i have to spend a lot for the "antifire"). So what you suggest for the staff?
