Scam Alert for Hostels

Beware of a man named Patrick Van Kan who is targeting hostel owners. In our January 2013 newsletter we warned the hostel community about a man named Patrick Van Kan who was fraudulently posing as an employee of HostelManagement.com and offering “consulting” services to hostels. This man neither works for HostelManagement.com nor is he associated with this website in any way. Recently we received an alert that Mr. Van Kan is attempting to scam hostels again. Please contact us if you are approached or offered consulting services by Mr. Van Kan so that we may proceed with legal action against him. Mr. Van Kan alleges to be the Lead Consultant for website about a hostel consulting (See update below) which is also not affiliated with HostelManagement.com in any way. If you would ever like to confirm whether or not a person is associated with HostelManagement.com please write us using the contact form on our website. HostelManagement.com will always cooperate with authorities to assist in the arrest and conviction of anyone using our company name to defraud others.

UPDATE MAY 2019 - It appears the website he was using is now being operated by someone else so we have removed the reference to the exact website Mr. Van Kan was using.
