Songbird: iTunes' New Competitor

The 1.0 version of Songbird was just released:

It's an open-source media player based on the same software that powers Firefox and Thunderbird.

Has anyone tried it yet?

Here's an article about Songbird that thinks Apple might try to kill it by making Apple products incompatible with it.
