Starting a hostel in Jamaica

I live in Kingston Jamaica and there are no known hostels in our vibrant tourist areas. My business partner and I are therefore looking for any advice one can give when starting a hostel not necessarily specific to Jamaica but just generally things we need to know and any help would be aporeciated
