Welcome to Vitoria, Espirito Santo!
Vitoria is a lovely tropical island located on the coast of Brazil in the state of Espirito Santo. Our location is the perfect distance beween Rio and Bahia and a wonderful spot to break up long bus rides between well-known destinations like Rio de Janeiro and Salvador.
That Hostel is a warm and cozy place to stay in the heart of the historical district of old Vitoria. We take a lot of pride in getting to know our guests and that is why we only have fourteen beds even though we have space for more. We think it is better to offer a more intimate setting, a space where all of our guests can interact, get to know each other, share their travel stories, and become lifelong friends.
I started traveling in Brazil in 2011 and ended up in Vitoria in January of 2012 with the intentions of staying a couple of nights. A couple of nights turned into a couple of months and in March of 2012 I met my wife Paula at a samba show just across the street from where our hostel is located and five minute down the road from where Paula was born and raised.
Vitoria and Espirito Santo is truly Brazil off the beaten path and has an incredible amount of amazing sights to see and places to visit in the tiny and welcoming state.

Congrats, Grant! The place looks epic. Loved reading your about section. I remember you telling me awhile back you guys were closing your doors; I'm so happy you got to open a new place! Great inspiration for me :) Hope I can see it in person sometime. Cheers!
