Top rated Beach Hostel and Bar/Restaurant for sale in Koh Samui

We are considering selling our beautiful 38 bed beach hostel on Koh Samui. The hostel was established in December 2014. It is highly rated on Hostelworld with a rating of 9.4 and it has over 1,500 reviews. It has also been rated by Hostelworld as one of the best hostels in Thailand.

The owners are planning to retire. We will still be based on Koh Samui so we will be able to assist any new owner in the future. 

The hostel is located on a beach 2km south of Lamai on Koh Samui. Lamai has many restaurants, sports bars, shops and convenience stores. This hostel is 10km south of Chaweng which is the main party area on the island. It is also highly rated on Google and Tripadvisor as a café/restaurant and bar and we attract many clients from outside the hostel. We can accommodate over 50 people in our bar restaurant area all with a beautiful sea view. We have just completed a modern massage hut over-looking the beach.

The hostel has 7 dorm rooms with 38 beds in total. Each room has air-conditioning and there are 7 showers and 7 toilets for our guests. There are five experienced Thai staff with a total monthly salary of 77,000 baht. 

The business comes with a tour license, alcohol license and kitchen license. It is a THB 4,000,000 Thai registered company (suitable for the application for 2 working permits), plus the lease is under the company name making the transfer of the business so much easier. 

This business is established and is highly profitable all year round, even in low season. The rent has been prepaid until March 2025 so there is no monthly rent. There is also an option at an agreed price to lease for the following 10 years. There is no key money. 

All fixtures and fittings are included in the sale including a fully equipped kitchen, top of the range coffee machine, Fridge, Freezers, Kayaks, paddle boards. We also have a website, facebook page and Instagram. Currently we use Hostelworld as our booking site.
