TripAdvisor Launches “Reviews at a Glance” to Give You a Snapshot of Hotel Highlights

Tripadvisor is scanning reviews to extract common phrases across many reviews. It then lists the "highlights" of all the reviews. It shows on properties with more than 50 reviews.

It looks like an easy way to see what the majority of people are saying about a place, but it takes all the fun out of reading the seething reviews. If all of the common phrases are negative then it helps you make a very quick decision though.
Of course the glaring problem still exists that anyone can write the reviews, so there is no way to tell which phrases are legit and which ones are written by the hotel or their competition.
