UWinnipeg Downtown Hostel - Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada
Welcome to the UWinnipeg Downtown Hostel!
Our hostel is located in the heart of Downtown Winnipeg on the ever growing urban campus of the
University of Winnipeg. The UWinnipeg Downtown Hostel is a division of the Student Housing department at the
University of Winnipeg. We have a number of options for people wishing to stay in our hostel.
During the school year, we only operate the hostel out of our McFeetors Hall Student Residence. Because it is a student residence, hostel availability is dependent on student occupancy. We generally have 2 to 20 rooms available throughout the school year. Single rooms with us are furnished and include your own washroom and shower. 2 rooms that are available year round are our VIP suites. These offer a larger bed, living room, kitchenette, dining table and settings for 2, free telephone line with local calls, and independent wireless internet access. We offer nightly, weekly, and monthly rates.
During our summer season (April to August), McFeetors Hall Student Residence has significantly less students in it and allows us to run our hostel with anywhere from 150 to 200 beds. We host a number of large conferences and other large groups.
During the summer we also take over 4 houses that the University owns and we use these for the hostel as well. These houses offer a great alternative to smaller groups that want to stay together. It allows them to share a house and still have their privacy.
One other type of accommodation we offer is in our Lions Manor Student Residence. We offer single dorms with shared showers and kitchens and super dorms with private shower and shared kitchen. Every summer we host a group of 25 students from France in our Lions Manor building under the hostel.
All of our McFeetors rooms come with complete linens and complimentary linen changes for stays over a week. We have 2 large lounges that are available to hostel guests. These lounges have wifi, TV and full kitchens.
