A man left a rose on my friend's bed in Bulgaria a few weeks ago. She was pretty freaked out....

Do you guys get a lot of stuff given to you by guests? We get gifts of half eaten food and well-worn clothes and footwear. Many of these items should just be thrown away but guests feel too bad doing it so they shove that responsibility on us. I had one guy give me a pair of sandals he had had for 5 years but couldn't bare to put in the trash bin. I had an elderly lady leave me a bra. Awesome.

The amount of old mobiles I have, many storing images of their owner's genitalia is quote alarming!

A guest left behind a bottle of snake wine in the hostel I worked at once...

The bottle had been opened and a tiny amount of wine was missing (presumably someone had a swig and was so disgusted, they left it behind) and a few scales on top of the snake's head were missing.
We kept it behind the reception desk (with all the random crap guests had left behind) and then during one of our staff parties, the manager, knowing that me and her boyfriend (the two loosest staff members at the time) would probably get drunk and try it, hid the wine in the hostel safe. Her boyfriend and I got drunk, broke into the safe and had a swig each. It was like drinking mentholated spirits. Not pleasant. The rest of the bottle is now sitting on a shelf at my house. No doubt, one day we will be drunk enough to try it again. And no doubt we'll get very, very, very ill......
Also, someone once left a live goldfish inside a pint of water in their room after they checked out. We didn't drink that one...

Aussie tourist packs his case
An Aussie man on holiday in Queenstown pooed in a suitcase and spread faeces around his room in a backpackers hostel, police said today.
Senior constable Chris Blackford, of Queenstown, said the 25-year-old man was arrested at 2.30am today and charged with wilful damage in his Shotover St accommodation.
Police say the man defecated in a suitcase and spread faeces on the carpet, bed and curtains, left a condom lying in another guest's room and smashed a laptop.
He is expected to appear in the Queenstown District Court on Monday.

We had a wonderful guest who, after checking out, cleaned his whole room, made the bed, spotless... but he did leave a present in a pillow case... Poop. Our poor cleaner went in gloveless and made the discovery.

A big load of wholesales products were left in my hostel and I don't know what to do with this now.
The guest was new in trading. She bought so much but her great selective listening skills made her fail to realize the international delivery cost.
She believed that it's possible to ship 1KG of products from China to the USA for only 1 Yuan (US$0.15).
Now everything was left in my hostel. I'm thinking about what to do with this.

We found an X-Ray technician's lead apron. You know the heavy ones they put on top of you to protect your lungs during an X-Ray.
