What is more centraly located ''downtown'' or ''center'' ?
Downtown its American word , but you can see in Europe this word more means like a center as well.
Downtown considered as a better location than center right ?
Because , as I suppose downtown is the heart of the center
am I right or not really ?

I'm from the US and think "center" sounds like there is more action going on. But I'm from a small town of 20,000 people and I don't know what "downtown" really means :)
Some US cities don't have much happening in the "downtown" -- like Miami, Honolulu, etc. The downtown shuts down at night and people go to other parts of the city for restaurants, bars & clubs...

I agree, I'm from the US too and "center" is what we here call midtown. It's the center of all the action! But then again our downtown isn't by any means a ghost town either. Our downtown is choke full of clubs, bars, shops, etc. Still our "center" is the heart and soul of the city. Hope that helps. :)

I agree with that as well. I'm from the US and my "downtown" is nothing but a business district that everyone flees at the end of the workday. No sign of life i nthe evenings. "Center" sounds like the place I would want to go.

I just like the sound of "center" better than downtown, I don`t know why.

I'm a little late on this, but... I think it depends on how you use the word and how the city is laid out. To me, "centrally located" means it might not be particularly close to anything, but equally distant from it all. So if you use "centrally located" be sure to follow up with a quick description of what's around:
Centrally located! 8 minute walk from [famous museum,] 2 minute walk from subway station, 12 minute taxi from the airport, etc.
Or, downtown can mean it is the cultural/nightlife hub. In my city, downtown is where it's AT on Friday and Saturday nights. Your website might read like this:
In the heart of downtown! Walking distance from numerous restaurants, bars, and clubs.
I guess it depends on your city and what exactly you want to advertise to your potential guests.
