It seems that YHA may take over Losehill Hall, a world-renowned environmental learning and conference center in Derbyshire, UK. They propose to turn it into a youth hostel and continue the current activities as an outdoor education center.
The Peak District National Park Authority began looking for a partner to take over the Hall after suffering governmental budget cuts.
We believe the YHA bid offers the best potential for a partnership which will see Losehill Hall go forward as an environmental learning and activity centre, delivering benefits to the national park, to the Hope Valley and to more young people than before.
Detailed negotiations still have to take place before YHA’s bid will be accepted.

A deal has been reached, and Losehill Hall will be sold to YHA.
Selling Losehill Hall will save an estimated £250,000 a year in running costs, [the Peak District National Park Authority] said.
The terms of the sale include a legal clause to ensure the building is used as a youth hostel and education and activity centre for a minimum of 20 years.
