Too funny! Looks like they just took the code for the main template and put their information in. Is it worth sending a note to them?

We have legal protection insurance so we´re happy to keep our lawyer busy, although I have some doubts that´ll impress people who live in a country where war criminals still walk around unmolested. I guess we´ll have to ask NATO for some help! :D

Ah to be joining the likes of Microsoft to protect your trademarks and images. I agree you have to proceed with legal even if there may not be resolution as at least it sets a precedent that you will protect. In terms of NATO, I think they are too busy with Afghanastan right now. Maybe you could call in the Austrian Army!

The Austrian army has no armed aircraft. They bought a few choppers because dead cows have to be removed from inaccessible mountain areas. They might dump a dead cow on Hostel Miran, but then why should they get a free BBQ? If Hostel Miran is in the muslim part of Mostar, a dead pig would be better! :D
There were cases like that before, e.g. a hostel in Riga used our logo on their Hostelworld site. I think it´s creepy to fool travellers like that.

Hahaha! Good lawyer! :D
Also a fast webmaster on their side... they already have a new website.
Wanna visit them during our next balkan trip? :p

You think I should hire the webmaster? He already knows our website pretty well, after all! :D

I have seen the copyright notice and symbol (the circle with the letter C inside) in many web pages (though not in all). The notice and symbol are supposed to indicate that the work (in this case, the web site and its web pages) belongs to somebody and should not be copied.
I wonder if there is any legal process required to copyright (and place the copyright notice and its symbol) a web site/page. Or if it is simply a matter of just writing the copyright notice and symbol in your web site/page.
Searching the internet, I found a page [www.copyrightauthority.com; notice it is a .com (commercial) site, not an ".org" site] that states that "Since the Berne Convention, having the copyright notice is more a warning/legal deterrent than a legal requirement. As all major countries who join the Berne Convention agree that the enjoyment and the exercise of copyright shall not be subject to any formality."
It seems as if just by placing the copyright notice and symbol in your work, it is copyrighted. But I was wondering, since there is no authority responsible for recording it all, if someone steals (copies) most of your web page (layout, colors, maybe a similar logo, etc.), who would determine who stole from whom? Which page existed first? (I could have a very old web site, but with new attractive pages copied from another competitor.)
If this Berne Convention thing is true, the good news is that we don't need to spend money on lawyers to copyright our work. But, on the other hand, if someone steals from someone, the issue of who stole from whom still remains.
