Just for fun on a stormy evening I thought of a new thread.
Kicking it off . . . for Plakias it must be the friendliness, well, there have been 6 marriages of folk who have met here for the first time. Amazingly, in every case, the individuals come from different continents.
There have also been 7 babies born to couples who have met here for the first time, with 1 more on the way.
I'd be interested to hear of your claims.

we at Green Mango Inn of the Philippines assisted 2 young British guests to buy a beautiful tropical island with white-sand beach at a price so much cheaper than a condominium or apartment unit in London... cheaper than even a kitchen there I think... Incredible! :)

I think I could take the prize here...
...In the early 90's there was a scandal in the UK with a member of the paparazzi taking photos of Princess Di working out in a gym. The gym is opposite my hostel and by the angle of the photos it could have only been taken from Private Double Room 4 from my hostel that the photos were taken from!

My building was the first one in the area to have ... an elevator in 1983 and it became a kind of attractions during that era. It was a few years after China opened up the door and restored market capitalism.
Some were excited to try. Some were scared. Little kids yelled, "Look! I saw a man to go inside. When the door opens again, he became a woman!".
...I admit it's not as award-winning compared to any stories above.
