Finnish hotels/hostel nights up in May 2008 over May 2007:
The number of recorded nights spent by domestic tourists at Finnish accommodation establishments in May 2008 was 940,000, which is 6.5 per cent more than in May 2007. The number of nights spent by foreign tourists also went up by 4.5 per cent from last year. The total number of nights spent increased by 6 per cent from May 2007 and rose to 1.3 million overnighting days. These figures are preliminary data from Statistics Finland's statistics on accommodation establishments and they have been collected from accommodation establishments with at least 10 rooms, cottages, or caravan pitches with electricity connection, and youth hostels.
