There are many important aspects to running a hostel, but without having guests, few will matter. Many hostel owners or managers find marketing to be difficult: ambiguous, overwhelming, or not realizing it's necessary until it's too late.
In this panel discussion we are searching for participants who are either actively pursuing various marketing efforts or have some great ideas to share from advice they've read, been given, etc. For example, maybe you haven't had a blogger yet, but you can share the benefits of having one or the best way to go about getting one.
This discussion isn't necessarily tied to receiving direct bookings, but we are looking to help each other learn ways to market our hostels beyond reliance on OTAs. They are a great help to marketing, but what are some other ways you get your name out there?
The discussion will take place online via Google Hangouts. We are looking to hold it mid to late March. If you are potentially available during this time (the date/time is TBD depending on time zones of those participating), and think you would have some perspective on the topic, please email me as soon as possible here.
