Dear Hostel Management, firstly, I take my hat off to you for setting up a much needed website for the hostel species. My question is, why on your forum are you mixing up hostels for long term accommodation (homeless, students, etc, etc) and short term guests (backpackers and travelers)?

Hi Rick,
Welcome to the site. All the content on the site is for backpacker hostels. Did you see information about other kinds of hostels?
There are a couple of Vietnamese hotels listed in the hostels database because they were geared to backpackers, but I later decided to change the directory to "hostels only" because I was getting too many requests to list hotels and guesthouses. All of the listed hostels are backpacker hostels though -- no homeless shelters or student dorms.
