Scotland Hostel Faces Challenges From Town

The owners of a backpacker hostel in the New Town face being closed down after their retrospective planning application was recommended for refusal.
The Bus Station Backpackers' Hostel has been operating for over a year in Dublin Street, and an application to authorise its change of use from a house to a hostel is to be considered on Wednesday.

But planning officers have recommended it be refused.
