Sorry... I re-read the article and there is no fix. They might have changed the article because I think it used to say that updating Windows would fix it.
Try Firefox as an alternative to Internet Explorer. Firefox is immune to this attack. At guest access computers I used to change the icon for Firefox to the "blue e" (symbol for Internet Explorer). Then delete all shortcuts to Internet Explorer. People who aren't tech savvy will often look for the blue "e" to launch "the Internet"...
