I've been trying to find out who these AAE people are and this

was all I could find. No info at all about them. And they're everywhere now.

As I could see regarding it's properties, AAE seems to be more likely as a loose network than a corporate chain. Most of them are just "AAE Member Hostel", although I wouldn't exclude the possibility of the ownership of few "core" hostels.
I'm heading to Krakow in about two weeks, might be able to get some first hand info by then... ;)
