any of you guys compose music? play an instrument or more?
i've been experimenting with samples, recordings, softsynths, effects since 2003. a few of my mates and me come together a few times every year and have jam-sessions with 2-4 computers, guitars, melodicas, samplers, recordplayers, .. anything that can make sounds that may in some obscure way sound like notes :D the sessions litterary last for days, sometimes more than a week in the holidays.
it's just a hobby of mine that i'm enjoying very much. i don't take my projects very serious, and to be honest, i rarely finish a tune. most of my projects playback between 1 and 3 minutes. i've got the tools, but the instructions took off. i play around with 2 laptops, a guitar, a couple cheap-ass tourist drums from india, a 303-sampler, roland d2, korg padkontrol, native instruments audiokontrol1 external soundcard, casio sa-21 keyboard and a zennheiser microphone. i'm yet to sing in it .. no! i've actually made 1 tune where i have vocals on, but i should practice more. i can sing to a certain degree tho. i'm not a musician. i don't know notes and chords, but i've got a good ear. i make soundscapes and tunes that for most people make them go "wtf? u crazy?" .. and the answer is yes.
anyway, .. enough about the wannabe artist; i'd like to know more about YOU!
do you have a phat bass- or guitar-riff? can you play any instruments? sing? maybe you have projects lying around on ur drives it's about time you gave to someone else so that they can complete the track ;)
if you have recording equipment you can record your ... wierd melodies and riffs, acapellas or ... whatever really. as long as it makes sound and has a strange vibe to it i am _very_ interested in having them e-mailed over to me so that i can remix them beyond your imagination, or to your wish.
anyone up for a collaboration project or more?
from norway with luv!
