Beds and Bars Ltd Win Excellence Through Technology Award

[INDENT]On November 18, 2009 Beds and Bars Ltd was awarded the runner up prize in the Excellence Through Technology category, at the CIPD People Management Awards in Manchester.

This recognition was based on the creation of Humanalytic - an enterprise 2.0 web application used to manage, monitor and train a transient workforce. The application is based on similar principles to those of popular social networking websites.

Duncan Robertson, Head of Media Strategy and Communications at Beds and Bars Ltd said: “We were very aware just how competitive this category was, so being a runner up was a huge success in itself.

“Using open source software like Mysource Matrix allows smaller companies without a large development budget, to implement award winning systems that help drive business forward.”

Duane Vanner, People Manager for Beds and Bars in the UK added: “Beds and Bars identified a need for a people management tool and a resource that was not currently available on the market. We designed one around the specific and unique needs of the company and that is the fact of which I am most proud.

Beds and Bars Ltd competed with Kent County Council and National Leadership, and the Innovation Agency for Healthcare in the same awards category.
