EHC Conference in Catania (Sicily)?

According to Robert's last statement (the organizer of EHC2010 Sicily, known as Irishdon in this forum) the Catania conference has been canceled - I couldn't find the related post on the forum though. Lolli mentioned on the Unconference that EHC has stopped it's activities and so far we don't have an official independent hostel network to organize such event... :rolleyes:

I'd also appreciate an official statement from Gomio and I suppose I'm not the only one...

So this is the official announcement (I received this e-mail few hours ago):

February 25th, 2010

Dear GoMio Members,

We are writing to inform you that we have temporarily postponed the 2010 GoMio conference. Our goal is to reschedule the conference to the fall. We realize the importance of the conference, and our goal is to ensure that the event proves to be a valuable learning, networking, and enjoyable experience. We will be announcing the venue and the city for the next GoMio conference in the summer.

Please note that the company is going through some very exciting changes at the moment. A new management team has joined company, and we will be sending you additional details in the near future.

We remain very committed to increasing the number of bookings to your hostel, promoting the development of the hostel industry, and fostering communications among hostel owners and managers.

We look forward to seeing you at the next GoMio conference.
