My point is this: what are the obvious advantages for potential Journeys franchisees - compared to sailing under their own flag?
If you have a property and think about a franchise deal, opening an EasyHotel has obvious advantages: EasyXY has enormous marketing muscle and a well-known brand.

oh i agree; why buy a franchise on a speculative brand?
and their ratings arent great.... averaging 70% or so on HW.

Hi guys,
...Just picked up on this thread and thought I'd say hello! :)
I've been hired by Journeys as their Brand Manager recently and have major plans to build and expand their brand to a global market from previously being a small collection of loosely-connected properties operating under the same name with average review ratings and a poor website.
My personal background is in graphic design and marketing, with experience in all creative sectors as a result of 6 years in education, a long stint with the UK marketing department of Starbucks Coffee Company and time spent freelancing as a designer, producing work for The Devil Wears Prada movie launch and Cannes Film festival stands for example.
Hopefully we can build something special here, there's certainly a lot of potential.
It would be great to meet some of the exciting people on here as I'm fairly new to the hosteling industry, what are your backgrounds guys? :)
