Introduce Your Hostel
Hi everyone, now im finally here!
Ive been reading this forum for a quite some time, i even thought i had registered but i couldnt log in anymore..
Im representing the newest hostel in Finland, Dream Hostel Tampere. Tampere is a ryanair destination city with increasing routes, they are planning to double the visitors in city in few years.
This project took me ages and faced the basically all the same problems like others here: zoning, finding property, funding etc. after all, im happy that it took so long, i think i have learned much during the process.
Our hostel was supposed to be small "second hand" hostel, but it came up with 90 beds and rather modern design. Nothing too fancy, but everything is new and (well) planned. We are not yet open, but will open on 1st of april.
We have all the basic hostel equipment and we try to offer a comprehensive hostel experience with all the industry standards. We dont have much competition but we still want to do this as well as we can, not cutting corners. You never know if you have to open a new hostel somewhere ;)
If you have any questions, please ask, i'll do my best to answer. We dont have any promotional pics yet, we try to take them this week. At the moment we are in the middle of the busiest perios of the construction, so my days are pretty filled :)

Yes, first of all, welcome to the site...
And yes, I was seeing your website and I'm looking forward to see some pictures of the hostel, by now, high expectations on my side... ;-)
Good luck for the 1st of April, by my experience, these will be your worst days, a huge nightmare... but than, when guests start coming, it is amazing... ;-)

We opened our Munich hostel on the day before Oktoberfest started. That was a nightmare! :)

i can only assume the idea was to give yourself a little more time before the chaos began. otherwise that was... ambitious :p

Hi there!
Last time I wrote to this thread about two years ago, two weeks before opening our doors. Huh.
Now we have been open almost two full years and it has been absolutely great time! We have been selected as the Best hostel in Finland on both years by HW customers and everything and the reviews we are getting are flattering. I have learned so much doing these years and my ambition is growing. I want to learn and experience more! The hostel life has really been a dream come true and now we are looking forward for new opportunities and expansion.
