Help Keep Hostels Clean and Eco Friendly

Hi all,

As you may see from my profile, I have started a company in Serbia that will deal in eco friendly cleaning equipment and alternatives. I feel hostels can be a great potential market for my products, but I have very little experience with hostels and would greatly appreciate any help from hostel owners and workers in this forum.

I have currently introduced 1 product - Enova Ecoclean laundry ball, http://www.samelou.com/, which costs around 25e, and eliminates the use of detergents when washing. I have been using it for many months, as well as numerous people around me, and it really is a viable substitute for conventional chemical filled and expensive detergents, and is a great money saver. Only limitation is that it cannot wash above 70 celsius. I am introducing other items as well, such as Citra-Solv and some other eco-friendly cleaners.

My questions are:
1) Are these products something that is useful or interesting to hostels?

2) What is the best way to go about marketing and selling these to hostels? Through email, letters or personal visits? Particularly the laundry ball, as it is the first product I have.

3) What is the most important for you when it comes to purchasing cleaning equipment for your hostel? Cleaning power, price, eco friendliness, something else?

4) What are some useful gifts and perks that you as a hostel manager/owner/worker would like to receive when you buy a product from me? I mean something more useful to you and the hostel than a branded pen or notebook.
